HELOZ everyone!! I know its been almost 2 months since I last came here....well there is really nothing much happening in my life rite noe...blah blah blah....excuses excuses excuses...whatever.....

okie a quickie....went and came back from my Chiang Mai trip....a really nice place with nice people and great food!! Great shopping places too!! hahaha....Was totally unprepared for the shopping part becoz was informed that there isn't much to buy..haha...yeah rite nothing to buy...my god i almost wanted to bring back the whole place okie....

Well at the risk of sounding like I am migrating to Chiang Mai, I am going there again next Jan with my family and my uncle's family...kinda excited abt it coz this is the 1st time we are going on a holiday with them and I hope it will be fun and I am going back for some revengeful shopping this time round hahaha!! Another reason why I am looking forward to this trip is becoz I have been up to my neck with work ever since I came back from my last trip in Oct and I REALLY need a break!!!

Since we are on the topic of hols....thinking of going to Bangkok (yes Thailand again.....but hey that's my yearly trip!!) during my birthday next year in April.....then in later part of the year I will either go Hong Kong with my family or go Japan with Diana if she's still onz abt it heehee....but whatever it is I am determine to go on a long trip 2nd half next year!!

Okie enuff of hols (all this talk just make me wana fly off liao!!) went to watch Oi Sleeping Beauty (Pam Oei) and The Chestunts Revenge (Hossan Leong) last week....both were really good and better than the Dim Sum Dollies actually....oh and I am confirm going to watch The Forbidden Palace next year with Winnie, my play/musical/holiday kaki.....

Will be back again.........

its been a long time since i last blogged....kinda getting lazy on it...seems like i m at the phase whereby i jus can't seemed to bring myself to blog animore but oh well i will try my best....

nothing much happening in my life jus busy with work as boss is on long leave and i will be on long leave next week so have work to clear too.....

looking forward to my trip though have not changed my money yet hahaha....getting lazy to do so too....hahaha.....

have been getting lotsa books to read....going to transform myself to a bookworm once again.....matured to be a butterfly *no no dun throw rubbish at me!!!!* long ago but i guess its time to be a worm once again hahaha.....toking rubbish here.......

okie gtg now....will do an update when i come back from my trip....let's hope there's some interesting to report........speaking of which i jus remembered i am supposed to do a couple of reports on BKK and my everlasting love for naraya bags...well should be up pretty soon.....

It's OCTOBER!!!

YEAH!! It's OCTOBER!!! I know I know I am just repeating wat's up at my title but so wat I like!! hahaha!! Okie okie let me explain why I am so happy that it is Oct liao....by reaching this month it means I am so much nearer to my holidae later in the month!! I am counting down to my lovely one week break away from Singapore away from office away from all the negative stuff that have been happening around me!! Hope time passes faster though heehee!!

Okie just a quick update on what's happening ard me since the last time I posted the Quidam thingee....well nothing much actuali...hey hey hey no throwing of bad veggie, eggs or fruits!!! AAHH!! well I am still working (to my ever lasting regret...) still trying to lose weight (another big regret in my life....) still trying to plan another session of detox (should be next week if you believe me) trying to finish up my rented dramas (yummy yummy is not as good as i thought though I am really watching it for Raymond Lam) looking forward for the last 4 episodes of healing hands III (that reminds me I have to call the video shop) and looking around for some good books to read (any recommendations anyone? realised I have lost a liking for those trashy romance that I used to be crazy about) wana start on some jap dramas that I have (din realised I have watched so many over the past few years!!) and crossing my fingers that the censorship board will give a pass to this jap imported concert that I have been looking forward to for so long!! whew...tot it was supposed to be a quick update but oh well just read on huh........

Trying to make some decisions (as usual) as to what I am gona do from now onwards (abit too late huh)...it suddenly crept on me that I will be 25 next year and I am still a good for nothing!! hai.........

well I really dun wana leave on a bad note but can't seemed to find anithing happy to tok abt aniwaes so till next time!

Quidam anyone??

Just came home from watching Quidam....reali a GREAT performance!!! Right noe, all stunts are still playing in my mind!! My fren and I managed to get the front row seats so can imagine how clear and near we were!!! But it was also very cold inside the tent and the mercandise were very expensive. Even the drinks were very ex....imagine mineral water and soft drinks cost $5!! Alot of people drank beer instead coz its oni $9......

There were alot of ang mohs in the audience todae....most of them were drinking beer too....think abt 60% of the audience were ang mohs....hmm...seems like the ang mohs liked such performance better.....

I would reali love to describe the performace but I am afraid my words would not do justice to the performers so I shall not do it lar hahaha....aniwaes now still have time to get tics if u r interested so do consider!! I would say all seats are good so dun worry if you only wana get less expensive tics....trust me!! Just remember to bring a jacket along!!

I know I have not been updating for quite some time liao but I am just too lazy even though I have access to internet.....aniwaes just a quick update on my happenings recently.....

Diana is finally back for good!! Haha so happy to see her once again after such a long time!! Hey gal thanks for your stuff from Japan and LA!! Really love them!! :)

Oh I am still trying to lose weight and going for my acupuncture sessions...well my stomach has flatten alot and my mom was saying that my arms seems to be smaller too....well I dun really know man.....my weight seems pretty stagnant....maybe I will do another round of detox next week?

Okie ending here liao....my body aching like crazy man dun know isit becoz of the weather (its raining now....)?? hai....getting old liao hahaha....

Detox....a success

YES!! My detox over the weekend is a SUCCESS!! hahaha so happy!! I lost 3.5kg and now I am on a soupy diet all the way till year end (hopefully I can make it though) though on a couple of occassions I can foresee myself having relatively big meals but as long as I maintain the soupy diet most of the time then should be okie lar (at least I think so) Oh I am also keeping up with my acupuncture sessions too so hopefully by the end of the year I would be slimmer and have an easier time buying new clothes!!!

Let me describe my detox torture to you over the weekend....it started on Saturday morning with me going NTUC buying loads of fruits and went home lagging them.....I cut up some of the fruits and made a big bowl and that was breakfast and lunch....I started watching my rented drama and finished about evening time (for that period I had a banana too) then I started reading a book....it was a book by a local author and he started describing all the Singapore goodies (ie char kway tiao etc!) and I started to get hungry again so I took a big apple but couldn't finish it then continued reading that book...about an hour later I started to get hungry (once again!!) so I took another banana and this time the banana managed to keep my hunger and just when I am about to finish the book hunger pangs came knowking again!! I decided that I shall chop chop finish that book and go to sleep....luckily because of the low in-take of food I manage to fall asleep pretty fast.....and that was the end of my Saturday.

On Sunday....same thing woke up then cut up fruits for breakfast and lunch this time hiding in my bro's room using his PC (my internet connection has spoiled) while my family had their lunch.....went for my acupuncture then started watching my jap drama then my mom asked me if i wanted some soup....by that time I was starving from all the food surrounding me (ie from the drama, kitchen etc) so I said okie since its watercress soup so not much harm done....luckily on Sunday hunger pangs decided to give me a break so not so much of suffering that nite....went to bed pretty early becoz I can foresee a very no-energy morning the next day....

On Monday (and the last day of my detox!!) I packed the fruits that I wanted to bring to office (one grapefruit, grapes, apple, papaya, a prune...sounds alot rite??!!) to sustain my 8 hours there in office.....the dae went off pretty well until about 3+pm....the pangs started calling on me again so this time I drank a little of a cup soup with low calories and its sustained my pretty well until the nite....at nite, which marked the end of my program I celebrated a little by having a small bowl of fired rice (no choice coz that's the only thing left) and drank a huge bowl of soup and officially this morning, I have lost 3.5kg!!

Okie that's the end of my detox program...oh btw I drank maple syrup with lemon during the 3 daes too....I think I shall do another one next month (heard that its good to do a detox once a month aniwaes) so I shall go on reporting my diet along the way (hopefully it will be a success aniwaes).....

I have finally applied for leave for the dae and getting that rest that I have been wanting....though its only for a dae but it is good enuff......

oh gosh I just weighed myself earlier on and have PUT ON weight once again.....hai....hopefully that acupuncture that I have been going will show some results soon!! My mom's gona kill me if it does not work!! okie I RESOVLED to do my detox this weekend liao if not I will never start losing weight!! Should be a good time this weekend....no plans once again....mom going for a fren's baby one month thingee.....duno wat bro will be doing (btw he is popping tml.....) most prop sourcing for his trip to god knows where....dad will be working so I shall do it this weekend!! will have my rented dramas to keep me accompany hahaha....will be weak like siao though.....

oh will be going to the video rental shop later on to return my vcds and my mom wants to watch this olden drama but I am not that keen but the new dramas (healing hand part 3 and yummy yummy) are not here totally so may not have a choice....hai.....

Just checked my office emails just and already have the "gona die tml" feeling but I just refuse to look into all the "official" emails.....can already foresee tml will be a busi dae...aaahhhhh!!

Nasi Lemak.....yummy yummy!!

15 of us had a nasi lemak potluck last Fridae!! Each of us brought or bought something for the nasi lemak that we will be having for lunch that dae....My only guy colleague (the remaining 14 all roses...hahaha) cooked the nasi and I bought the LeeWee Bros otah in the morning....had to wake up earlier, take a train to Admiralty then back to Clementi for my shuttle bus to work....luckily the branch at Admiralty opens at 6.30am if not I also dun know where to get them....

Kenneth really brought a lot of nasi (2 big buckets!!) and it was really really oishii!! I even tabao back the remainder for dinner hahaha!! Oh I must say all the food is very good and the watermelon was very very SWEET!!

We had a great time and had agreed that we shall do this once a month with different themes haha....oh let me do a tiny advertisment for LeeWee Bros Foodstuff....their otahs and chicken wings are very good and my colleagues had ordered their home delivery service before and were impressed too!! Oh their sambal chilli is great too (take it from a chilli lover)!!!!

Okie that's the end of my nasi lemak tale.....going off soon...ja ne!!

*YAWN YAWN YAWN*

Yeah I know the colour of my font does not match my title but never mind lar dun be so picky k? So the weekend has just passed and its back to everyone's "lovely" Mondae once again.....

So what did I know for the weekend?? NOTHING!! Really not lying I swear!! hahaha....basically bummed around at home....finish watching the Hong Kong drama that I have rented and tried finishing Da Chang Jin but to no avail...will try harder tonite!! I promise!! But was really tired the whole of last week becoz of PMS and now I am still suffering the aftermath of it.....

Oh about jue dui superstar last week....no surprises there when Kelvin Tan won but Kelly Poon was really in top form that nite....Singapore aunties have once again proved that they are very rich...hahaha....aniwaes read in the papers that Kelly's fans had purposely not voted for her so that she can get into a more prominent and international recording company and that explains one of the reason why she did not win that nite....well whatever it is both Ks got recording contracts so their fans should be very happy.....Oh but I must say I really liked that song that the judges wrote for Kelly....think the way Kelly sang the song have that Anita Mui feel.....Oh my fren asked me if I am interested to go for the superstar concert at the end of the month...then the next thing she tells me is that the sound system at expo sucks so I told her "why bother going? if the system sucks and they are still not very professional singers, it will hurt our ears...." so in conclusion we are not going but will go for the Mayday concert in December.....

Sleepy bug....

*YAWN* just came back from lunch.....had beef noodles and a little of Grace's veggie noodles that her hubby cooked for her....wat a greedy piggy I am!! Now the sleepy bug has come calling and therefore I have decided to post something up before the bug really gets into the door.....

Oh I was pretty pissed last night coz I was doing an entry here and when I tried to publish it, I was given a message saying the blog that I was looking for is not found!! Come on!! I was very please with my post and they have to do this to me!! AAHH!!!Can't stand this kind of thing okie!! hrump!!! aniwaes enuff of my grumbling.....

Oh tonite is the finals for jue dui superstar and I am looking forward to it (acutally my post las nite was on this....)!! If you ask me who will win, well I am hoping that Kelly will win but I somehow feel that Kelvin will win BECOZ the Singapore aunties are far too rich for the youngsters to fight against....all along I have been supporting Junyang and Kelly though I do think that Kelvin is not too bad himself and besides he can go this far despite being visually impaired. Oh boy qouting from our Singapore Idol...."may the best singer wins!!"

I think I shall do a detox thingee on myself this weekend though I can't decide to do a fruits one or the maple syrup one? hmm....some ideas anyone? No plans for the weekend as at but if I really do the detox thingee then I most prop not going out liao coz no energy! But at the same time I wana go to Tangs and see if the skirt I want is still availble....hai....what a choice...oh I also wana see if the antique watch I want have stock or not. Aniwaes think I shall only decide tml what am I gona do for the weekend lar....okiez gtg liao...back to work!! have to make myself isogashi!!

MiDdLe Of ThE wEeK

Welcome to my playful (?) world once again!! What shall I write today? hmm....let's see....I will not be writing about my bags or Bangkok yet since I prefer to do this at home.....hint**where do you think I am now??!! okie okie stop being BO LIAO Elaine!!

Now nothing special has happened to me from the last time I blogged till now so I guess I shall just write whatever has come to my mind....ooohhh....on Monday i kinda saw this antique watch that I really like but it was the last piece and the workmanship is abit poor so I din get it though the lady told me they have another stall at Jurong Point and there will be new stocks coming in soon....maybe will drop by Jurong Point or go back to City Link Mall over the weekend to take a look again....oh I must tell you if its last time I won't mind if the poor workmansip cannot be seen but now I seemed to be a changed person....I seemed to be more and more picky about these stuff nowadays....maybe its because I am working from the other side of the law(ie. last time I am the one providing service and now its the other way round)? Oh well maybe something else will catch my eye soon? Oh but me and Nat did get something from that stall for our friend YeeAi...I must say its all my fault coz I have forgotten to bring the present that I have bought for YeeAi and not wanting to delay in giving her the present any longer (we are already late!) we decided to get her something else on the spot and so we got her an antique watch which from I heard suited YeeAi perfectly!! haha so glad that it matched her perfectly and that she liked it!!

Talking about presents I have yet to get something for a couple of frens whose bdaes are coming up too.....cracking my head now as to what to get them....hai.....

Oh let's talk about food!! haha....was talking to my boss yesterday and she was telling me about the food that she cooked for her family over the weekend and the conversation went on to how to use coke (yes that drink) to cook other stuff like soya chicken and cookies....oh let me bring to back to the point about what she cooked on Sunday (something that I am going to try this weekend too)....one of the dishes that she did was bbq chicken wings marinated with five spice powder and butter....quoting her words "its perfect!!" haha so I shall try it this weekend. Okie back to coke cooking....my boss was saying that instead of using soya sauce to cook soya chicken, we can use coke too and the taste would be similar! interesting isn't it? maybe I will try to persuade my mom to try it soon hahaha...I got no guts to try it myself!! oh then was told that if we put a teaspoon of coke or ice-cream soda into the dough mixture for our cookies, the cookies will turn out very crispy!! but bear in mind only one teaspoon if not it will spoil the whole mixture.....okie that's the end of cooking lesson today....logging off liao....will be back and till then ja ne!!

Okie some of you may know that I have this bloggie like a million years ago but only today I am posting my very first post.....if you ask "why only now?" well i dun know myself!! just feel like it I guess or mayb becoz some of my frens are bugging me to do so or maybe I just need a place to vent some air out of me.......

Okie okie since this is my first blog I shall not bore you guys with my misery but rest assured I will do so in my next few posts?(!!) hahaha.....

Oh well what shall i talk about? Its the start of a rainy day today and the weather kinda match my mood I guess....okie okie there I go again......oh before I forget if you guys are expecting to see lotsa pics on this bloggie of mine you will be disappointed coz I have usually do not have interesting pics to show and I do not like taking pics.....well will try to put up some once in a while....not very tech-savvy n now that my bro is in tekong so can't really ask him for help....

oh my I m writing alot of rubbish am I? never mind never mind just bear with me....will try to get into interesting topics soon....haha.....wonder who will read this aniwaes.....

Hmm....let's just have a summary of what had happened this year todate.....of coz there are happy and unhappy stuff.....well the happier ones are my birthday when I got some frens celebrating with me thanks guys if you are reading this!!.....got my promotion, increment and bonus middle of this year.....went on trips to genting and bangkok (this is a yearly trip tough hahaha) with my frens......went to some very good plays, musicals......the not so happy ones are stress at work (duh!!), not in very good health, feel very sad that some of my frens are not happy with me and ignoring me for some reasons (though abit buffed!!)....

Now on a happier tone.....I have booked my trip to Chiang Mai for a week....will be leaving on the last week of October!! will be going with my travelling kaki Winnie!! hahaha we are also planning to go Hong Kong together with our families next year too!! I know I know its still long long way but no harm planning first rite??!! we are always very happy when we are discussing this!! :) Counting my fingers to my trip and oh before that I will be watching Quidam!! Bot tics like donkey years ago and can't wait to watch it....heard that its very good!!

okie I think I shall end here for now....will post another one soon....hahaha a got a request from a fren to do a post on my vast collection of naraya bags which I am crazy over with everytime I make a trip to Bangkok and another fren has requested that I do a manual on Bangkok (pple in the office has been calling me Ms Bangkok!! hahaha!!)....okie okie gals will do both soon!! as for now ja ne!!
